Nick Swardson is an American stand-up comedian, actor, screenwriter and producer. Nicholas Roger Swardson, his birth name, was born on 9th October 1976 in Minnesota, US. His parents are Pamela Swardson and Roger Eric Swardson. He has an elder sister, Rachel, and an elder brother, John. He did his schooling from St. Paul Central High. At the age of 16, he started acting and theatre comedy. Nick was suspended from school four times for reasons as fighting, smoking marijuana, cigarettes; he was sent to a rehab program when he was in school. He graduated in 1996. He started his career in stand-up comedy. Nick started his performances as a stand-up comedian. He went on to perform at Acme Comedy Co., Knuckleheads, and Balls Cabaret and also won the title ‘Funniest Person in the Twin Cities’; for this, the club owner encouraged him to perform.
He was further selected at US Comedy Arts Festival to perform; he was 20 years of age at that time. He also performed at the festival held at Aspen, Colorado; it was a platform for comedians. Nick moved to New York City in 1999 and performed at ‘Luna Lounge’, further, he went to Los Angeles at appeared at various nightclubs. He then started to work in advertisements, TV and film. His first debut film was ‘Almost Famous’ (2000). He went on to act in more than 20 films thereon. He is famous for his role in Reno 911. Nick has written many screenplays, stories, TV shows including ‘Malibu’s Most Wanted’, ‘Gay Robot’, ‘Calling Home’ and a few more. One out of their collaborating projects was ‘Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time’, a sketch comedy show. In 2014, he gave voice to the animated series ‘Chozen’ for the role of Troy.
