Alfie Allen

Alfie Allen is an English actor who is known around the world for his role of Theon Greyjoy in the most successful HBO television series, Game of Thrones. Allen’s full name is Alfie Evan James Allen. Allen was born on 12th September 1986 in Hammersmith, London. His father, Alison Owen is a successful film producer. He also has an elder singer who is a reputed singer. He completed his schooling at Windlesham House School, Sussex, and Embley Park School. He completed his A-levels from St John’s College, Portsmouth and Fine Arts College in Hampstead.

Allen started his acting career in the year 1998 with the movie You Are Here. The movie was a comedy movie written by David Williams and produced by his father. After that, he and his sister Lily appeared in the movie Elizabeth in the year 1998. The movie was produced by his mother. Though the movie did not do much good on the screen, Allen did receive some recognition from the viewers and the critics. After that, he took a little break from the movies and concentrated on his studies.

Later in the year 2004, he appeared in the movie Agent Cody Banks: Destination London. The movie was directed by his uncle, Kevin Allen. He has a small but significant role in the movie. After that in the year 2007, he played the role of Danny Hardman in the movie Atonement. In 2008, he appeared in the movie Flashbacks of the Fool. In the same year, he performed in a successful BBC1 drama television series named Casualty 1907. He played the role of Nobby Clark in the series. He also appeared in small roles in the movie The Other Boleyn Girl.

In 2010, Allen auditioned for the role of Jon Snow in the much awaited HBO series Game of Thrones, but he was cast for the role of Theon Greyjoy in the series. His acting in the series was appreciated by both the critics and the viewers, especially the part when he was abducted as a slave and portrayed a slave named reek. He is still working in the Game of Thrones series, but apart from that he has also appeared in many movies, some of which include the role of Ian in the movie Freefall, Russ Mountjoy in the film Soulboy and the role of Dominic in the movie The Kid.

Allen also appeared in Madness’s music video named Dust Devil. Allen was also nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild Award for four consecutive years for his performance in the Game of Thrones series. He even won the Empire Hero Award for his portrayal of the character Theon Greyjoy.
