Michiaki Tanaka is an animator known for his work in English animation projects. In 1991, he contributed to the creation of the Doraemon Game comic. Later, in 1998, Tanaka took on the role of marketing Visio, a product acquired by Microsoft, in Tokyo, Japan. He managed the marketing team for various Office products, including Visio, Project, OneNote, and InfoPath, and played a part in the successful launch of Office 2003. In 2004, Tanaka's career took a new direction as a business development manager. He developed plans to introduce unified communication products, now known as Lync, and a web hosting service called Office Live, specifically for small businesses in Japan.
From 2006 to 2010, Tanaka served as a senior manager overseeing the marketing of Microsoft Office. During this time, he developed and implemented effective marketing strategies for Office 2007 and Office 2010, showcasing his wide-ranging expertise in both enterprise and consumer markets. In 2010, Tanaka transitioned to the role of Volume Licensing Manager, where he collaborated with various stakeholders, including sales teams and partner organizations.
His responsibilities included driving volume license business and ensuring readiness across different sectors. In 2022, Tanakat became the Channel Marketing Manager within the Partner Business and Development division of Global Partner Solutions. In 2023, Tanaka took on an additional role as the Partner Incentive lead, further showcasing his dedication to enhancing partnerships and driving success within the organization. Throughout his career, Michiaki Tanaka has made significant contributions to the animation and marketing fields.
