Konarak Mukherjee is an Indian Bengali writer. He has also been into direction lately. He was born in 1987 in Kolkata and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economic Hons. Apart from this, in 2011, he had been a part of Roopkala Kendra, a Film and Social Communication Institute. It comes under Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Government of West Bengal. This was to grasp knowledge of detailed craft. In 2017, he studied Direction and Screen Writing through a diploma course. From the beginning, he had a fondness for literature since her mother was a librarian. This resulted in his inclination towards storytelling. Anthony Minghella’s “The English Patient” had been a big inspiration for him. Thereafter he moved towards movie making.

He directed short fictions and documentaries and edited television programs as freelancer in Presidency College. He has also assisted Soumitra Dastidar, a documentary and movie maker and organized several documentary shows in his hometown Kolkata.
