Shirin Taber comes from an Iranian-American family. She is the founder and director of Empower Media. Shirin is a Writer, Thought Leader, Media Producer, and Activist. She worked as Campus Minister at CRU, located in Paris, in the year 1993. After that, Shirin moved to work as a Media Coordinator at the Jesus Film Project in the year 2000. In the year 2004, she started working as a Writer and launched her book Muslim Next Door and Wanting All the Right Things, along with that she also worked as a consultant.
For the next few years Shirin worked in the media industry and the year 2013, Shirin founded Empower Women Media, where she promotes women’s rights, peacebuilding, and religious freedom, partnering with United Nations, NGOs, and Faith-based Organizations. Moreover, Shirin is also a co-author of Islam and North America. Shirin completed her education at the University of Washington. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate in women’s rights and religious freedom.
