Indranil Samanta is a multi-talented personality. He is a director, writer, screenwriter, cinematographer, and photographer and works as a freelancer. He was born on 14 November 1992 in Kolkata, west Bengal. In 2017, he got a Diploma in Film Studies from the Asian Academy of Film and Television. He is a filmmaker of the film Main Mulayam Singh Yadav. He has written the Hindi advertisement for mobile gaming organized by PUBG. He is the owner of the YouTube Channel Pastiche Films. Indranil also worked as a freelancer for short movies produced by Purple Movies.
As a Freelance writer, he wrote a Hindi script for the Turkish show My Home My Destiny. He was also the video editor of the NGO Brikkho Foundation. Fear and Desire, Sorry Mam, Cold Christmas, The Touch, and Bajaun Kya are the films written and directed by him. Indranil received the Anondolok Award for the Best Short Film Post Card in 2018. He was also officially selected at Lift-off Film Festival UK for the films Cold Christmas and Bajaun Kya.
