Kuheli Bhat is an Indian playback singer in West Bengal, India. She was born on the 12th of October, 1976. She is trained in Indian Classical and Western music as well. Kruthi learnt singing under the late Sri Utpal Sarkar and classical music under the guidance of Sri Dilip Patra. She also learnt Western music under the guidance of Sir Sanat Ghosh and Pt. Debojyoti Bose. Besides music, she learnt Nazrul Geeti under the guidance of Sailen Chakraborty. She is a performing artist and has performed on various platforms. She also performed Nazrul Geeti at different places in Hooghly. She took a break from singing for five years after her marriage.
Her family was supportive and consistently pushed her to pursue her passion for singing. Finally, she started singing in 2005, which was a turnover in her musical journey. She performed with MD. Aziz and also performed in different cities of West Bengal, Tripura and Orissa. Her album “Anyarakam” was released in 2007 by Raga Music. After performing in various cities, she officially started her career as a playback singer in a Bengali Daily soap, “Banlar Saat Rong”, which gave her immense recognition. She has been actively involved in television programmes like “Superhit Jhankar” in Doordarshan and “Sonajhara Sandhya” in Akash Bangla in 2008. Kruthi is a fan of the legendary playback singers R. D. Burman and S. D. Burman.
