She also contributed to the Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Assamese, and Oriya songs for Salil. Mori Haay Go Haay was her first recorded basic song. She gained popularity in Bengal through the song Ene De Enede Jhoomka. Nochiketa Gosh composed her second recorded song. Sabitas first AIR song was Holud Gaandaar Phool. Du Chokhey Aashaar Nodi Chhalachhal, Jaare Jaa Jaa Mono Paakhi, and Oi Jhilmil Jhauer Boney are some of her other famous songs. She died of lung cancer at the age of seventy-two on the 29th of June 2017 in Kolkata, India.
