Panchanjanya Dey is an Indian performer and practitioner of Indian classical music. He is a Hindustani classical flutist. Born in a non-musical family, he was inclined towards music from a very young age. He never gave up the idea of learning Indian classical music and was consistent during the entire journey. He became the first flutist in Hindustani classical music to play two octaves of a flute simultaneously in a single blow. He first learned the basics from Sri Sakti Pada Nag (disciple of Sri Nilu Dasgupta and Ustad Ali Ahmed Hussain Khan) under the school of Vishnupur Gharana.

He learnt the advanced training from Pt. SanjoyBandopadhyay under the school of Senia- Shahjehanpur, Imdadkhani and Rampur- Senia. For vocal training, he went to Sri Shyamal Bhattacharya (Disciple of SA. Kanan Jagdish Prasad). For light classical music, he went to Smt. Rakhi Bandopadhya. Sri Chittapriya Chowdhury (grand disciple of Pt. Kishan Maharaj) trained him at a table under the school of Benaras. Besides, he is well-trained in Western music and has learnt Western guitar, piano and harmonica.

He also founded his musical band HAMELIN in which he is the lead Flutist. In 2019, he received an award in the All India Radio Music Competition from Pt. Tejenjra Narayan Majumdar. Panchanjanya believes that Indian classical music is losing its value and wants to change it. He presents classical music in an appealing way to a huge number of audiences, preserving the form and purity of the art. He is a committed professional passionate about for preserving the essence of Indian classical music, aiming to convey its purity and significance to his audience.
