Chandrayee Ghosh is an Indian model and actress who has worked in several Bengali films and serials. She was born in Kolkata into a Bengali family. She made her debut in the industry with Mohul Bener Sereng, a movie by Sakhar Das. She won the BFJA Award in the category of Most Promising Actress for this movie in 2005. She later worked in movies like Tistain (2005), Manush Bhut and Dosarin (2006) and Kaalin (2007). She began as a director in 2008 with her independent movie 'Sama'. The story in the film dwells on homosexuality. She later said that it was based on her own life. She likes to experiment with her roles and have done different roles on the small screen. In her serial Raat Bhor Brishti, she played a negative character. In Uttaron, she had a positive character. In Mohona again, her character seemed mysterious. She later appeared in a mega show, Dushaha Bash, which dealt with the lives of three siblings and based on the work of Taslima Nasreen. She was successful in comedy as well in the Zee Bangla's tv serial Labonor Sansar. Her major role was in Behula as the Hindu Goddess Manasa. This serial gained much appreciation, and she was acclaimed for her role. Her other major serials were Ekhane Aakash Neel and Sindoor Khela, all of them were telecasted on Star Jalsa channel. She is presently very much active in the television world with her ongoing serial Kiranmala where she plays the role of a witch.
