Shiv Babun Chatterjee is a Bengali director. He was born in Bengal, India. For his education he went to S.E. Railway Boys Higher Secondary School in Adra, West Bengal. After his graduation, he developed a taste for screenplay writing and directing. He started as a freelancer for screenplay writing. Later, he got a chance to work as an assistant director. For a long period, he worked on Bengali-language films, and his work was also appreciated and published in Bengali cinema. After years of hard work and patience, he directed his first film as a senior director that ruled the Bengali cinema. The film is Sathiya (2016). Later, he got married and was blessed with a son.
