Eshita Surana

Eshita Surana is a well-known name in the Bengali TV industry as a struggle to bring about change in society through content. She is a Director at Aakash Aath, a well-known local brand name in Western Bengal. She loves to travel around the world and enjoys her weekends while cooking for family and friends. That's why she always dreamed of doing business, like him. So, after graduating with her master's degree in marketing and IT from Pune in 2007, she joined the family business Television Software Production. Although she is not a television fan, creating television software has always been her passion.

Today, Eshita and her siblings are in charge of the family business and are planning to create infotainment content filled with renewal standards, especially about social issues. To date, she has produced more than 15,000 hours of Bengali television programs as well as Charulata on Star Jalsa; Satya Ghatna Abolambone at Sony Aath; Janani, Sahityer Shera Samay, Filez of police in Aakash Bangla, to name just a few. After meeting with Aakash Aath in September 2013, her GRP went from just 9 to 55 (week 36, 2014) in less than a year.

Taking the belief in hard work, dedication, and team spirit as her philosophy, she says, "In her words, she hopes she can inspire and motivate people because she feels that are really powerful and when used correctly can bring great relief". SME Futures in a one-on-one conversation with Eshita finds out how she was able to achieve the best in her channel and gained the same commendation.

She belongs to a business family. From the beginning, she was always happy to see her father go to the office and work. As much as she was interested, whenever the opportunity arose, she did not miss the opportunity to enter his workplace. As for her dream where a little girl goes, she always wanted to get into his shoes and take an inheritance before.

After graduating from high school, she was determined to follow a similar course. So she decided to join a family business. It was not easy though. She took one step at a time, learning the nuances in the television industry from her father and uncle. And today, her siblings (Rahul, Priyanka, and Rishab) and she are working closely together, trying to take our precious business to another level. In the business world, each day brings new challenges. Winning has always been her fortune. Until now, however, overcoming her father's sudden death was still a major issue for her. And to talk about 'failure' is nothing, but lessons learned. She tries not to repeat her mistakes and learn from them. With the power of a limited hard disk, 'reading and learning is her mantra and this is what she believes.
