Rafiquddin Ahmed and Sitara Begum welcomed Dilara Zaman into the world on June 19, 1943, in British India's Bardhaman District. She is a television and cinema actress from Bangladesh. Later, her family relocated to Asansol. They ultimately relocated to Jessore following the 1947 Indian split. In Dhaka, she attended Bangla Bazar Government Girls High School. In this school, she appeared in her first theatre production. She continued her education at Eden College. Professor Nurul Momen, her Guru Natyaguru, acted as her mentor. She studied Bangla for her master's degree at the University of Dhaka. In 1962, Zaman made his theatrical acting debut. In 1993, she received the Ekushey Padak, and in 2008, she won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.
