Moloy Roy is an athlete born in Calcultta during British India. He is a bodybuilder and the son of Monotosh Roy. He belongs to the family of bodybuilders. His father was a famous bodybuilder and was the first Asian and Indian who won the title of Mr Universe. In 1942, his father also won the East Indian Bodybuilding Championship. He was also a well-known bodybuilder and won the Group III Amateur Division in 1951. Like his father, Moloy Roy has also won the Mr. Asia and Mr. India and is a legendary bodybuilder. He won the Mr. India title 8 times and Mr. Asia title 3 times.
He is nominated for the Arjuna Award. It is a prestigious award given to the person for their excellence performance in sports. He is an actor, too. He has acted in many Indian films. His first movie was Joi Baba Felunath ( The Elephant God). The movie was released in 1979. He played the role of Gunamoy Bagchi, a bodybuilder. Apart from bodybuilding, he did some other jobs too.
