Masum Aziz, full name Muhammad Masum Aziz, was a stage, film, and television Actor and Producer born in Pabna, East Bengal, Bangladesh. He died on 17 October 2022. His son's name is Utsha Zaman, who is also an Actor. He has worked in 400-plus TV dramas. He debuted in theatre during his study at the University of Chittagong. Masum Aziz debuted in TV dramas in 1985. He was the Director and Producer at a theatre troupe, Dhaka Padatik. His last direction work on stage was Trial of Surya Sen.
He was the actor, director, dialogue writer, screenplay writer, scriptwriter, producer and music director of the government-funded film Shonaton Golpo in 2018. Masum Aziz has also served as the Vice-President of the Director's Guild. In 2006, he won the Bangladesh National Film Award in the Best Supporting Actor Category for his work in Ghani in Afsu's role. He was also honoured with the Ekushey Padak for his work in the acting art form by the Government of Bangladesh in 2022.
