Anbarivu is scripted and directed by Aswin Raam. Sathya Jyothi Films produced the film. Hiphop Tamizha Adhi played the lead role and also composed the music. Kashmira Pardeshi, Shivani Rajashekar, “Napoleon,” Sai Kumar, “Vidharth,” Asha Sarath, “Urvashi,” Sangeetha Krish, “Sanjeev,” Jeeva Ravi, Arjai, Sharath Ravi, and KPY Dheena are cast. Madhesh Manickam cranked the camera, and “Pradeep E Ragav” edited the film.

Muniyandi is a big shot in a village named Arasapuram near Madurai. His daughter, Lakshmi, is married to Prakasam. Pasupathi works under Muniyandi. When Pasupathi expected a political favor from Muniyandi, he didn’t get it. So, he develops a grudge. Although Muniyandi is a casteist, he could do anything for his daughter. Lakshmi has twin children, Anbu and Arivu. In an issue, Prakasam flies to Canada with one of his twin sons, Arivu. Anbu grows in the village with his mom and grandpa. After years, Arivu learns about his family and returns to his village. Will he be able to reunite his family? The rest of the story deals with this.

Star Performance

Adhi is good with his natural performance. The heroines didn’t have much to perform, yet they did what was needed. Asha Sarath, Napoleon, and Sai Kumar had done an excellent job. Vidharth has taken the antagonist role and has done his best.

The story starts with a predictable plot and continues till the end. However, what makes the difference is the performance of the stars. All the stars are placed in the right roles, and they execute their parts well. Whether Asha, Saikumar, or Napoleon, everyone played their roles and impressed the audience. The climax is good, and the sentimental scenes worked out well. The BGM by Adhi is okayish. The visuals sync well with the music and give perfect eyes and ears.

What’s There?

  • The stars’ did a good job
  • The second half is interesting

What’s Not There?

  • Predictable plot

We had been watching this kind of story for decades and decades. However, the interesting factor in the film is its cast and performances. Anbarivu – watchable once!
