Airtel Super Singer 3 is a Tamil reality TV show that aired on Vijay TV in 2010. This is the third season of the Airtel Super Singer series and is an Indian singing-based competition. Just like the other seasons, this season also focuses on finding the best voice in Tamil Nadu. Open auditions were held, and many people auditioned to showcase their singing talent in front of the judges. Few of them were selected on the basis of their performance and were allowed to enter the other rounds of the competition. Super Singer is a popular singing television reality show based on a singing competition that aired on Star Vijay. The motive of the show was to find the best voice of the state. It is like a talent hunt show for singers. The show has run for many seasons which clearly is because of the immense viewership and popularity of the show. The season 3 of Super Singer premiered on 12Th July 2010 and the timings of the show were from Monday to Friday at 9 pm. Anyone above 16 years of age could audition for being a contestant.

The initial host was Divya Vijaygopal who hosted the audition rounds. The permanent judges were Srinivas, Unnikrishnan, and Sujatha Mohan. Auditions for season 3 started from 27th June 2010 and took place in Chennai, Trichy, and Coimbatore. The makers had seen an immense response from the side of the public in the form of participation at a larger scale than before. The top 20 participants who were selected after all the auditions were over also had to go through a number of final rounds to display their versatility in singing various genres of music. The grand finale was held at Chennai which saw the performance by title winner Saisharan getting a lot of cheers. Santhosh was announced the first runner-up followed by D.Sathyaprakash as the second runner-up. Following them were Pooja, Praveen and Nivas.

The greatest benefit that the show had was bringing talented people to participate in the competitive as well as non-competitive rounds. The season also faced a lot of controversy with the viewers being disappointed over the decisions and comments made by the permanent judges.
