Born in the Mid 90’s, Sailaja is the daughter of S.P. Sambamurthy and Sister of S.P. Balasubrahmanyam. Career:

Sailaja’s career started at an early age of fourteen as a singer when she was just a child. At an early age, she was just ignorant of her career and decided to sing only. Later with time, learned various other things and became a successful person. Though she became a playback singer in the year 1978 professionally, her career as a singer started quite early. She is also a classical dancer as well as an actress, but she is not interested in acting. According to her acting is not her cup of tea. Still, she managed to be a part of the cinema industry because of her father’s wish and was seen in two films, Salangai Oli, and Saagara Sangamam. She began her career as a playback singer with Illayaraja and later within just two decades, have around six thousand songs under her name. With various hits, ‘Solaikuyile’, ‘Vedam’, ‘Rasaave' are some of her evergreen songs. Her career revolved around singing to Television where she worked as an Achor for various shows and as a Judge in few Reality shows like ‘Airtel Super Singer' and also in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa(Zee Tv).’ She also gave her voice to various famous actresses including evergreen actress, Sri Devi.
