The serial draws inspiration from Bhagavata Purana, also known as the Srimad Bhagavatam Srimad; Bhagavata Mahapurana, or Bhagavata is one of eighteen great Puranas (Mahapuranas). This purana-inspired serial is developed around vast tales of Vedas, episodes featuring demons and exploration of the ultimate questions on moksha, life and morals. The plot begins with Radha, played by Shiny Doshi, questioning which are answered by Krishna played by Rajneesh Duggal.
