Raziya Ram is an Indian TV serial in the Kannada language. It premiered on 23rd May 2022. The serial is still running on TV. It airs on Siri Kannada channel from 7:30-8 pm. And repeat telecast at 11-11:30 am from Monday to Friday. It has over 400 episodes to date. Sudhankar Reddy and Dinesh Annoru have directed this serial. It comes under the genres of Soap opera and Romance. The leading cast includes Atharva (Ram) and Shilpa S (Raziya).in the leading roles. This is also the debut serial of Atharva.
As the name suggests, the story revolves around Ram and Raziya. Raziya is a modern Muslim girl who dreams of becoming a lawyer. But her family is quite strict and orthodox. However, her family is against her having a career. She is compelled by her family to get married. She does not want to get married against her wishes so she runs away from her wedding day. While on the run, she meets Ram. Ram is a member of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and a devoted Hindu. Although Ram and Razia are from different communities, Ram believes in humanity first. He decides to help Razia as she has nowhere to go.
This leads to a blooming friendship between them. Gradually, they fall in love and get married. This serial showcases the love story of a couple who come from different religious communities. Their marriage was quite difficult as both of their families were against it. They had to face many communal challenges and taunts from their families and friends. But their love for each other was strong. They had to fight for their love and get married. The main plot of the show focuses on Ram and Raziya's forbidden romance. It conveys the idea that love is stronger than hate.Â
