Muddumanigalu is an ongoing popular Indian family drama series in Kannada. It premiered on Star Suvarna on January 22, 2018. This TV serial is successfully running its third season. Every new season has a new name. The first season was named Muddulakshmi, the second season Muddumanigalu, and the third season is known as O Muddumanase.

Muddulakshmi is a sweet girl with a dark complexion. She had endured society’s prejudice and insults due to her dark skin. However, a cardiac surgeon named Dr. Dhruvant fell in love with her, and they married. Initially, her mother-in-law Soundarya opposed the marriage but eventually accepted Muddulakshmi as her daughter-in-law. On the other hand, Sharvari, Dhruvant’s colleague, started liking him. She desperately wanted to break his marriage so that she could marry him. 

After some time, Muddulakshmi became pregnant. Sharvari made Dhruvant doubt his wife’s character. She manipulated him into thinking that the baby was not his. It caused the couple to drift apart. Soundarya was adamant to reunite them, while Sharvari always planned to separate them. Muddulakshmi gave birth to twins- Srishti and Drishti. 

The second season depicts the story of Muddulakshmi’s twin daughters, who get separated at birth. Unbeknownst to Muddulakshmi, Soundraya took Srishti with her. She asked the nurse Sumathi to take care of the new mother. After many twists and turns, the sisters reunited. Later, a DNA test reveals that they are the daughters of Dhruvant and Muddulakshmi. The family reunites happily. In the final episodes, everyone goes on a vacation to Chikmagalur. There, Srishti insists on driving a car, and Muddu joins her reluctantly. She started driving rashly, making everyone worried. Dhruvant desperately tried to save his family, but it collided with a rock and fell off the cliff. But, both the sisters have managed to survive the accident. However, Srishti lost her memory and failed to recognize her sister and grandmother after several years. Fate unites them again when they marry the brothers within the same family. Their story takes a new turn from here.

The third installment brings a new twist to the serial. Jahnavi is the reincarnation of Muddulakshmi. However, Drishti loses her life due to Sharvari’s conspiracies. Distraught by her death, Jahnavi pleads with God to lessen her pain. She saves a child named Hruday and treats her. Later, she met with his father, Manas. He seems to be the reincarnation of Dhruvant. Is Manas the reincarnation of Dhruvant? How will Manas and Jahnavi get together? These questions became the theme of this season.
