It is a story of love and reincarnation. The story starts in the year 1993. A newly wedded couple, Suhasini and Mahendar, are journeying to visit a Ram temple at Ramnamgarh to offer the wife’s wedding chain to Lord Rama and receive his blessings. Their loyal driver Birju arrived at the railway station to pick them up. Unbeknownst to them, the driver is possessed. When they enter the temple, Mahendar realizes that the wedding chain was left in the car and goes to fetch it. Suhasini inspects the temple and finds it odd. The temple had no bell and the diety’s idol. She accidentally trips and falls to the basement, the lair of a notorious tantrik Kalasur. He welcomed her and tried to make love with her. A fight ensues between her husband and the Tantrik while she escapes to call for help. Mahendar loses consciousness, and Kalasur takes his form.

Meanwhile, Suhasini reaches the palace of Thakur Prithvi Singh Suryavanshi to seek help. Kalasur also arrived in the disguise of her husband. When everybody went to deal with the tantrik at the temple, he again tried to make love with her. However, she saw his reflection on the glass ceiling and pushed him away. Everyone, including her real husband, returns with a priest and a few villagers to kill Kalasur. Mahendar threatens to burn him alive, but he says that his ashes will resurrect him; then, he warned to bury him alive, but he says that his skeleton will revive him. He lifts Mahendar by his throat. Enraged, Suhasini cut off his hand that was choking her husband and then his head with a villager’s axe. However, the severed head still cursed her family that the girls from her family would not be able to consummate their marriage, and they would die if they did. He also said no one would know why he chose Suhasini to make love. After that, the priest ordered Lakha to hide the head, hand, and body in different places so that the Tantrik could not resurrect himself.

Twenty-five years passed, and Mahendar and Suhasini’s daughters, Karuna and Gauri, became adults. However, his present wife is Damini. He wants Karuna to marry Vikram’s son Aman. Vikram is Thakur Prithvi Singh Suryavanshi’s brother. Since Karuna is not willing, her father suggests she visit Ramnamgarh and meet the boy. Vikram’s son Aman and Prithvi’s son Rajvardhan or Raj return from the US. The four met at the railway station and quarreled over a taxi. It leads them to walk on foot through the jungle. On the way, Karuna is stuck in quicksand, and while helping her, Gauri touches the Tantrik’s hidden hand. It awakens him, and he starts using it telepathically. The son of Lakha, Dharam, rescues them.

The family started preparing for the upcoming wedding. Raj and Gauri decided to break it because, according to them, Karuna and Aman were not in love. Gradually, Kalasur resurrects his complete body. He arranges a car accident between Karuna and Aman, in which only Karuna is left alive. However, she is now a puppet of the tantrik and started doing his bidding. Now, the Tantrik sets his eyes on Gauri. After realizing her feelings for Raj and saving him from Karuna, Gauri marries Raj. Kalasur kills Gauri’s father and frames Raj. Hence, by doing this and with the help of his aides, the Tantrik successfully created havoc in Gauri and Raj’s life. 

Later, after many twists and turns, Gauri defeats Kalasur and kills Karuna. However, his sister Uma (Raj’s mother) saves his hand. She transforms Raj into Kalasur by mixing their blood. Later, when Raj becomes Kalasur, his biological mother helps Gauri to heal him. They battled Kalasur and buried his ashes. Gauri and Raj died without completing their love story. 

After 28 years, Raj and Gauri are reborn as Raghav Sharma Raghav Sharma was born on 25 November 1998. He is >> Read More... and Vaidehi Khanna. Vaidehi is a businesswoman, and Raghav is an architect. However, they have frequent visions of their past lives. They meet again at an auction. On the other hand, Sanjana is a witch born from the life force of Kalasur. She dreams of resurrecting Kalasur and ruling the three worlds with the help of the child born from her and Raghav’s unison. However, Raghav and Vaidehi decided to marry after remembering everything. Sanjana kidnaps the groom before the wedding. Hence, Vaidehi married his photograph. She finds and frees Raghav with the help of a priest. Then, in the final battle, both kill Sanjana and Kalasur for good with a divine knife. The show ends on a happy note with the proper marriage of Vaidehi and Raghav.
