Plot
Gana is a journalist. He shifts to a new house, which has a landline phone connection. Though there were some wrong calls and cross-connections, Gana’s one particular call on his landline was shocking to hear. He received a call from Sujata, who was supposed to call some other person. What is weird in this is that Sujata calls from 1990s and Gana receives is in 2022. What’s wrong with the phone call? Why did they receive such a huge cross-connection? The rest of the film deals with this.
Star Performance
Prajwal and Vedhika performed well. The rest of the cast have done what was required of them.
Analysis
The film is a 2-year delayed release and a remake of the Telugu film Play Back. The film starts on a decent note. Once Gana received a call from 1993, we became interested in the subject and started staring at the screen without blinking. But, when the story started unfolding, and we are provided with the main suspense, we started losing interest. If the film had been released at the right time, it might have attracted the audience. Only a few months back, a similar genre movie was released. Though this is the senior to that movie, due to the delayed release, it has lost it in the competition. Though the makers have tried their best to suit the Kannada sensibilities, something is missing to provide the much-needed grip.
