Babul Ki Bitiya Chali Doli Saja Ke is an Indian television serial that premiered on May 14th, 2007, It first aired on Sahara One and then got posted to Shemaroo TV. It is a family drama about a girl who fights for love in a house that is rightfully hers. Anupama is a young and beautiful woman with great manners and values. She lives in a mansion and seems to have no shortage. However, the only thing that she wants is her father’s love. Her mother died while giving birth to her, and ever since, Vikramjeet, her father, has disliked her for being the cause of his wife’s death. He labeled her as “manhoos” which means unlucky or cursed, believing that she ruins everything that she touches. So many years of seeing her father acting distant and hateful toward her made her believe that she might be bad luck for everybody. Her stepmother Maya and stepsister Ridhima treat her like a housemaid and make her do all the work in the house.

They taunt her constantly and behave very rudely with her. But her stepbrother Veer supports her when his family is rude and is sympathetic towards her when she is struggling. Even though she receives the love of her stepbrother and the mansion’s servant Badri Kaka, she yearns for a love that only her father can give her. She soon finds a friend in Chaitanya, Vikramjeet’s deceased friend, and they fall in love. Even though they get married soon, they face challenges one after the other that did not let them get emotionally close; most of them were created by Anupama’s stepmother Maya. Things get more complicated when an astrologer asks them to stay away from each other or Anupama could die. Chaitanya does not believe at first but when strange things happen and danger keeps befall Anupama, Chaitanya starts to believe it. This elaborate plan was also made by Maya, and it successfully created a ridge between the couple.

Anupama receives love from her mother-in-law but Chaitanya’s sister-in-law and his brother dislike both him and Anupama. Anupama still fights to earn her father’s love.
