Plot

Sunny is a youngster who was raised by his maternal grandfather after his father abandoned him. Firoz is his best friend. Except for his grandpa and Firoz, he thinks none is vital to him. While helping his grandfather with his publications, Sunny finds out an artist in him who could design Farzi notes. What happens when Sunny is involved in some crime? What is Officer Michael's take on the crime? The rest of the film follows these.

Star Performance

As usual, Shahid nailed his character. His effortless performance is a treat to watch. The same goes for Vijay Sethupathi. He plays the officer, and his expressions and body language are fantastic. Bhuvan Arora and Kay Kay Menon did justice to the assigned roles. Amol Palekar fits well in the role, and so does Raashi Khanna.

Analysis

The screenplay is fast and exciting. It slips when Michael's character is introduced. There was a slow pace in that place, but the series picked up its pace after some time. When the biggies are doing a web series, the expectation level is high, and that's the same for Farzi, where the lead stars satisfy the audience with their excellent performances. The visuals are stunning, and the BGM too. The editing is neat.

What's There?

• Some characters would've been designed better

Verdict

Farzi is an exciting series with some exemplary performances from the leads. It would've been better if the female leads had been given some substantial roles. However, Farzi is definitely a thrilling watch!
