Hindi Web Series Fittrat

‘Fittrat’ is the story of a wannabe gold digger Tarini who unapologetically declares early on in her life that she is simply after a rich man with plump bank accounts. She was born into poverty and impoverishment, Tarini’s love for money began when her darling papa had to sell his prized possession, a painting of his beloved wife, just to make ends meet. A distraught Tarini confronts the buyer, who is to have a bigger and broader role to play in the coming episodes. The wealthy buyer gives a sermon that enlightens the teenage girl that everything is for sale. So her hunt begins for a Badshah with bank accounts to illuminate her life with the glitter of money.

As the father-daughter duo moved away from their old locality, selling their house, to Gorakhpur, Tarini loses her home but gains a new friend, Amrita. Amritha was the only girl in her new class who didn’t see Tarini with derision. Over time their friendship bloomed and flowered. However, when high school got over, the two BFFs had to say goodbye as Amritha moved to Delhi. But they promised each other that one day soon they will meet again.

Years went by Tarini the beauty with a brain focused on her studies as per the wish of her dad and finished journalism with flying Colors. Now it was time for her life’s mission to occupy the limelight. And which is a better place than Delhi to get hitched with a well-heeled gentleman in search of a wife. Accordingly, she lands in Delhi only to find that her friend is out of town and Tarini is detained outside the gate by the security, with whom she eventually strikes up a warm rapport. Anyway, Tarini takes up a job at a small newspaper firm, generously offered by a friend of her father. But Tarini soon discovers to her horror that all things counted the meager salary will not even suffice to pay her grocery bills. Adding to her woes, she gets mixed in with some shady stuff upon which her uptight employer fires her.

Dejected, Tarini plans on going back home, just then, her friend calls and for a period, all seems well. But Tarini’s presence at Amritha’s house is not well received by everybody, especially her mother. Needless to say, Tarini’s unabashed manners upset almost everyone and even her dearest friend, and she is forced to the floor from where she must rise.
