Plot

Parvathy is a young woman who wants to escape from her parents, who are searching for a good groom for her. She escapes the situation by lying that she has work in Kerala. There, she sees a story drawn in the walls, which she had heard in her childhood. Later, she stays in a place where the artist, who impressed her with his wall paintings, resided. She got to read a note of him, where he painted a story. The picture story stops in a place and she badly wanted to meet him to know the rest of the story. So, Parvathy started searching for Maara, the artist and collects information about him from the people around the place. How did she meet him? Did she express her love for him? The answers form the rest of the story.

Star Performance

Analysis

Although Maara is a remake movie, it is not the exact remake, but the director had made many changes. That didn’t affect the story and the screenplay is good in the first half. The second half should have been crisper and faster. That is the great miss there! As DQ is young and suits the role well, many said that Maddy wouldn’t match him. The ever-charming actor proved that he is not lesser than the smart DQ. Shraddha is a good choice for this role. The cinematography and the BGM are fantastic. Production designs are excellent and the art director should be given a pat on his shoulders.
