Plot

The film deals with the life history of Nambi Narayanan, the Indian space scientist. He was accused of stealing and selling the Indian secrets to the neighboring country and hence was sent to prison.  How he came out of the case, after years, forms the rest of the story.

Star Performance

Madhavan has lived as Nambi. As a writer and director, Madhavan got deep into the life story of Nambi and that’s one of the reasons for his natural performance. Simran is fantastic as usual. Her body language and expressions are terrific. Karthik Kumar has got a good opportunity to express and he did it perfectly. Misha, Mohan Raman, Gulshan Grover, and others had done what is required.

Analysis

Madhavan has put all his efforts to make the film a complete one. As a debut filmmaker, he succeeded in his attempt. He has worked hard to increase and reduce the weight for his role, colored his hair, and used no wigs. As a producer, he didn’t leave any stones unturned. Technically, the film is strong and so does the production values. The BGM by Sam is perfect and gels well with the genre.

What’s There?

• Excellent performers form the team and hence there are enough performances
• The visuals and BGM are stunning

What’s Not There?

Some characters should have been developed well

Verdict

Though there are some flaws in the film, the biographical movie is definitely watch-worthy! For Suriya fans, like Kamal’s Vikram, this is a treat and the same goes with SRK fans.
