Plot

The movie begins during the period of the 90s. Karthi is a pilot during the Kargil war between India and Pakistan. He lands up in Pakistan after escaping from the rivals. He is being imprisoned by the Pakistan army and is placed in a dark room. Karthi reminisces the happenings in his life from the prison.

Being a pilot in the Indian army, Karthi gets involved in an accident. Aditi Rao Hyadari, who is working as a doctor in the army, gives treatment to him. Deep love blossoms in the first sight itself between these two individuals. Their love intensifies and they have their own share of quarrels and reconciliation. What happens next? How does their love element progress in the film. Watch it to know.

Star Performances

Karthi looks great in the movie. Playing the role of a fighter pilot he has given a decent performance. Aditi Rao Hyadari has done a great job in her debut south film and she has a good onscreen charisma. Analysis

In Katru Veliyidai, the visuals are breathtaking.Besides, though the movie showcases stuff involved in the army, the love element is beautifully told. The dialogues are also well-written in the movie. The two lead characters are carved in a beautiful manner. The characters have their own shortcomings but still they are endearing to the audiences.

What’s there?

• A R Rahman and Ravi Varman are the two pillars of the movie.While the former stuns us with his endearing music the latter gives us rich visuals. And not to miss the BGM which is yet another treat to the ears.

• There is a splendid chemistry between Karthi and Aditi.

What’s not there?

The film goes at a slow pace in the second half.

Verdict

With it enchanting visuals and some beautiful moments to cherish Katru Veliyidai is a watchable experience.
