Aasi has been released with less hype. Now let’s see what the movie has in store for us.

Plot

Ravi likes his sister very much. Since his sister is interested in dancing Ravi sends his sister for training in Bharatanatyam to Priya Asmitha. Due to this love blossoms between Ravi and Priya Asmitha. The maternal uncle of Ravi , Raj Kapoor, manages a bronze business and his sister is attracted towards Ravi. But Rav and his sister doesn’t like Raj Kapoor’s sister and ignores her. At one juncture Rajkapoor happens to kill Ravi's sister. In order to hide the dead body Raj Kapoor changes the corpse to a bronze statue. What happens next? Let me not play spoilsport by leaking out the story.

Star Performances

Ravi doesn’t get enough scope to perform and he does an average job. Priya Asmita doesn’t get enough chance to exhibit Bharatnatyam skills. The sister of the hero has enough scenes to prove her acting talent.

Analysis

Nowadays horror films are doing great business. This might have made director NPS Veerapandian to direct a horror film. But he has just used the same template of ghost films.

What’s there?

The director has taken a safe subject; that’s good.

What’s not there?

  • The graphics could have been better.
  • The music of S P Venkatesh doesn’t give the required scary effect.
  • The cinematography of Sridhar Nataraj is just average.

Verdict

The movie could have been executed better.
