Unni Mukundan To Join Joshiy For Next

The actor will join acclaimed director Joshiy for an action drama. The movie will be bankrolled by Mukundan himself under his banner of Unni Mukundan films.

Unni Mukundan has experienced a whirlwind of a career in the past few years. Except for a few hiccups, he has rewritten the formula of balancing content with commerce, when he backed the social thriller Meppadiyan, which was a surprise success.

Mukundan followed it up with movies like Mallikappuram, which was equally successful at the box office, though he wasn’t the main producer. However, everything changed with 2024, when Unni Mukundan starred in the action drama Marco, which was a spinoff of his own character from the 2019 action thriller Mikhael.

While Mikhael flopped, Marco turned out to be a surprise hit, earning more than 100 crores at the box office. Though Mukundan denied that a sequel will be made, fans are still hopeful of one.
