Plot
In a village in Dakshina Kannada district, Sanvi wishes to impress an NRI boy by wearing a saree with a designer blouse. However, when things don’t go as per her plan, she resorts to drastic measures. Will Sanvi get ‘justice’ in court?
Star Performances
The only saving grace of this film is the acting. Be it Geetha Bharathi Bhat, or Suman Ranganathan, most of the actors have tried to make up for the lack of a powerful screenplay.
Analysis
What happens if you don’t get something you want? To what extent shall you go to achieve it?
Well, Santhosh Kodenekeri has an answer for the same. Through ‘Ravike Prasanga’, he makes a commentary on the societal ills in a quirky way. The way a girl is ready to sue a local tailor for not making clothes per her size aims to address many issues in one go.
However, does ‘Ravike Prasanga’ manage to strike a chord with the masses? Sadly, NO. Writer cum director Santhosh Kodenekeri attempts to hit multiple targets with a single stone. Yet, he somehow misses all of them. Despite having some good one-liners, the film doesn’t seem like a proper satire.
The editing is not up to the mark, and so are the visuals. Despite some good efforts at capturing the local ambiance of Dakshina Kannada district, the film is far from staying true to its core issues. Thanks to the 2-and-a-half-hour-long runtime, the patience of the viewers is tested more than once
Is there anything even good in this film? For all the flaws, at least the actors tried their best to make up for the lack of an entertaining narrative in this film. Geetha Bharathi Bhat, who plays the lead protagonist, made a decent effort towards her part. So did Suman Ranganathan, and the rest of the supporting cast as well. The background score was also decent enough.

‘Ravike Prasanga’ aimed to be a hilarious slice of life film, with a focus on ‘body positivity’. However, the predictable treatment of an innovative script ruined the charm of the narrative. Watch this film, if only for the acting performances.
