Plot

Lakshmikant Chauhan and Gayatri Chauhan are the husband and wife. Gayathri suffered a lot during the menstrual cycles. She had to search for the old clothes, as the sanitary napkins were very costly on those days. On seeing Gayatri struggling during the menstrual cycles with unhygienic things, he decided to do something useful not only to his wife but the entire women society. Addressed as a women’s problem, how did Lakshmikant take the issue in his hands and make some changes in the minds of the people and break the old beliefs, is the theme of the story.

Star Performance

Akshay Kumar has just lived in character Lakshmikant. How is this actor still underrated? He had been used only for the action and romantic scripts, these many years. Akshay has a lot of potentials and now it is brought out well by Balki. Radhika’s performance should be mentioned here. She brings all emotions quickly and makes the people fall for her performance. Sonam’s neat performance is appreciable. Other stars have done justice to their roles.

Analysis

R Balki and Swanand Kirkire have penned the screenplay and they have designed the roles perfectly. Balki slightly jerks to balance between the social awareness and the entertainment. However, he manages to make it perfect. If the film is a complete message-oriented, it might be boring and if it is a complete commercial film, the message couldn’t be projected. That is why Balki has taken a huge effort to make the film reach the people. In a scene, Radhika feels the affection of her husband and compare it to her brother, who ill-treats his wife. The woman is just stunning! What a performance!
