Swanand Kirkire is a multi-talented personality of Bollywood. He is an actor, lyricist, writer and singer. He was born in 1970 in Indore, India. He belongs to a Marathi-speaking family. His father, Chintamani, and mother, Neelambari, were both classical singers. Swanand, however, had no formal training on singing. His father worked at a public bank and his mother worked at a university. He spent his childhood in Indore and then move to Delhi, where he completed his graduation in Commerce. After graduation, he got a marketing job of selling Eureka Forbes Vacuum Cleaner. Later, he graduated from the National School of Drama in 1996. He started acting in theatre afterwards. He was a crazy about films and used to bunk schools for seeing movies. During his theatre days he had written and directed a play on the Freedom Fighter Bhagat Singh. He started his acting career as a lyricist, assistant director, actor and singer in the film ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ in 2003. The song ‘Bawra Mann Dekhne Chala Sapna’ of this film, which he and written and sang, was a huge hit.
