Plot
Husnabad is a small town in Lahore, before the India - Pakistan partition. Balraj and his son Dev own a Newspaper called The Daily News. Dev gets married to Roop in an unusual situation. Roop develops her music skill in Bahaar Begum's Chamber. She meets Zafar there and after a few meetings, she started liking him. She has huge respect for her husband Dev and a huge liking towards Zafar. What does she do? Watch the film in theaters.
Star Performance
Aditya Roy Kapur did justice to his role. His expressions and body language are good. Similarly, Madhuri, Sanjay and Sonakshi fit in their roles well and did their best. Alia, the natural actress, had emoted excellently well. The scenes in which she got pressurized had come out really well. She emoted well with her character’s oscillating mind.
Analysis
Although the story is not new, the way the team treated the film is entirely different. The director had not only showcased the relationship between two people who are in love but the father-son relationship and the teacher-student relationship. Besides these, the casting team needs a pat on its back for choosing an excellent team to perform in this complicated storyline. The cinematography is excellent and the songs too. The production designs are attractive and give a visual treat to the audiences.
