Samadrita Deb

Samadrita Deb was born on January 4, 1990. She is an Indian filmmaker and writer. She is well-known for her work in her debut film, 'Nanhi Chiraiyya,' which received critical acclaim. She previously worked as a visual effects technician for films such as "Men in Black 3," " Immortals Click to look into! >> Read More... ," "Ra.One," "Krish 3," and many others in Hollywood and Bollywood. Samadrita was born in the West Bengal city of Malda. Her mother, Mousumi Sarkar Deb, is a Rabindra Sangeet performer. She spent her childhood in Dundee, Scotland. She moved to West Bengal with her parents and Brother Kinjal Deb after her family relocated to India.

Samadrita went to Barlow Girls High School for her education and subsequently to Cambridge University for her Vfx studies. Samadrita began her work in the visual effects area with Prime Focus Ltd in 2010. She then became a member of Red Chillies Vfx. She worked on several Hollywood and Bollywood projects at this time. She was nominated for Best Female Director at the Nevada Women's Film Festival in 2016.
