1. Sunidhi Chauhan
Sunidhi Chauhan, a very famous Indian playback singer, was born in August, 1983 in New Delhi, India. She has a younger sister named Suneha. Sunidhi studied at the Greenway Modern School in Delhi. She later shifted to Mumbai with her family to pursue her career as a singer. She started singing at the age of 4. She participated at a Singing Contest called ‘Meri Awaz Suno’ in 1996 at the age of 13 and became the Champion. Since then she entered into the world of playback singing. Her first playback was in the film ‘Shastra’ in 1996. Singing for the movie ‘Mast’ gave her fame and the first breakthrough. She sang in a number of Indian dialects like Punjabi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, etc. She has also recorded songs in English, Urdu and Nepali. She has so far made 3000 studio recordings. She has also recently stepped into the international platform with Enrique Iglesias with the song ‘Heartbeat’ (Indian Mix). She has received several awards for her excellent performance as a playback singer, including the Indian National award. She is considered to be one of the most entertaining live performers in India. Her super hit songs include ‘Chaliya’ from Tashan, ‘Desi Girl’ from Dostana, ‘Dance Pe Chance’ from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, ‘Dhoom Machale’ from Dhoom, ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ from ‘Tees Maar Khan’, etc. only to name a few. She became one of the judges of the talent show Indian Idol seasons 5 and 6. Sunidhi has sung with many other talented Indian singers like Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. She has worked with India’s most renowned music composers and lyricists. She has given voice for many leading actresses of Bollywood. In 2013, her first single ‘Ab Laut Aa’ was released. Singer Sonu Nigam had a major contribution to Sunidhi’s successful singing career. Sunidhi has a dream of becoming a Bollywood actress one day and as part of accomplishing her dream she has lost 12 kilos weight by jogging and extra workout. She married choreographer Bobby Khan in 2002. Her family did not accept the relationship and so she had to leave home. Unfortunately, the relationship didn’t work out as well. During her tough time she was given shelter by actor and anchor Annu Kapoor, who was Sundidhi’s mentor as well. Later, she got married to music composer Hitesh Sonik in 2012. 4. Anupama Verma
Anupama Verma was born in Delhi on July 2, 1981. She holds a Master's degree in Business Economics from University of Delhi and is known for her beauty and brains. Anupama started off her career in modeling when Shantanu Sheorey, a celebrity photographer, in the 9th grade, discovered her. Her first modeling project was with Digjam suiting.
