Ashish Manchanda is a renowned recording engineer, music producer, and an entrepreneur in the entertainment world. In 1999, he founded the Flying Carpet Productions, a music and audio/video production house in Mumbai and the award-winning music production house, The Media Tribe. He was also featured in, “In the Studio with Michael Jackson”, a book by music producer, Bruce Swedien. In 2013, he bagged the Best Live Sound Mixing Engineer at the Indian Recording Arts Awards (IRAA) for the soundtrack of Anurag Kashyap’s comedy drama film, Dev.D. He was raised up in Pune and Delhi, where he used to listen to music. After high school, he started learning how to play drums. Ashish graduated at Full Sail University in Florida as a valedictorian, and became an inductee in the 2015 Full Sail Hall of Fame.

At school, he became the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award, Award for Perfect Attendance, and the Seven Course Director’s Awards. He is the drummer of the Indian rock band, Agni. He bagged the “Best Drummer” awards in competitions held at IIT Mumbai and Delhi, and the Shri Ram College of Commerce in Delhi. He closely worked with artists and music composers, A.R. Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Ram Sampath, Vishal-Shekhar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Ranjit Barot, Lesle Lewis, Swedien, Clinton Cerejo, Rex Rideout, and many more. Ashish has also worked as the audio turnkey director for MTV Unplugged and in Coke Studio in India, where he also honed his musical skills. He has been a part of the musical TV series, Chivas Studio and The Dewarists.

He has attended several music festivals like Kabir Festival, NH7, Jaipur Literature Festival, and more. His production house has been part of the Indian musical, Beauty and the Beast. Ashish also worked as the sound designer and re-recording mixer for Dibakar Banerjees’ National Award-winning films, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2016) and Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006). Ashish has also composed, remixed, and produced songs for movies like Mithya (2008), Acid Factory (2009), Hello Zindagi (2010), etc. He also contributed music to a show-reel by IIM Lucknow and Godrej and Lia Agarbatti’s ad campaigns. He produced and co-produced albums by Sky Rabbit, Mihir Joshi Band, Manasi Scott, The Local Train, Anurag Dixit, and Ritika Sahni.

Ashish has mixed music for the 2010 Commonwealth Games and has been the audio consultant of the Blue Frog. He played a part in many film soundtracks such as Bhaag Milha Bhaag, Chillar Party, Rockstar, No One Killed Jessica, Aisha, Shaitan, Dev.D, Aamir, Oye Lucky, Om Shanti Om, Corporate, Dhoom 2, Golmaal, Salaam Namaste, Page-3, White Noise, Krrish, Zinda, Deewangee, Asoka, and many more. Aside from that, he collaborated with popular musicians in working on many indie albums and has also played an important role in several advertising campaigns for brands like Chevrolet, Coke, Pepsi, Ceat, Smirnoff, Heinz, Eveready, Red Tape Shoes, etc.

Ashish also worked with Grammy Award-winner, Bruce Swedien, in the US. He also worked with Ana Torroja, Les Go (girl group), Jim Peterik, and Rex Rideout. In Manhattan, New York, he worked for Effanel Music, where he honed different styles of music of renowned artists like Boz Scaggs, Verve Records, James Taylor, Garth Brooks, and more. He also got the opportunity to work with popular TV programs like VH-1 Storytellers and MTV Unplugged. He has been the Front-of-House Engineer, Crew Chief, and System Tech at Platinum Post in Florida, where he did a session work with popular basketball star, Shaquille O’Neal.

Sabrina Dhawan

Sabrina Dhawan is a producer and screenwriter from India. She was born in England. Later on, she came to Delhi, India, and spent her initial days of childhood in Delhi only. At the Tisch School of the Arts situated in New York University, Sabrina has worked as an associate professor. She has also worked as an area head of screenwriting, there. She has written for many big companies like HBO, ABC Family, Disney, and 20th Century Fox, etc. Sabrina Dhawan has completed her high school education from the schools named “Delhi Public School” and “Convent of Jesus and Mary.” After that, she has completed her degree of graduation from Hindu College situated in Delhi, and affiliated to Delhi University. She has done the degree of B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) from there. Later on, she went to Leicester University situated in U.K. (United Kingdom) and completed her master’s degree. She has done Master’s in Arts (M.A.) in communication research. After that, Sabrina Dhawan went to Columbia University situated in NYC (New York City) where she completed Graduate Film Program of Columbia University in the year 2001. She has also done Masters’ of Fine Arts in Filmmaking. Sabrina Dhawan is popular for her writing skills, and she has written for many feature-length films. Along with this, Sabrina has also directed and produced many short films independently. She has also worked in Bollywood. Sabrina Dhawan made her debut as a screenwriter with the film named “Monsoon Wedding” which was released in the year 2001 and was directed by Mira Nair. After this film, Sabrina Dhawan got popular and marked her presence in the Bollywood industry. Sabrina appeared as a wedding guest in this movie. Currently, Sabrina Dhawan is living in New York City (NYC). When she was in her school, Sabrina wrote her first draft of the screenplay, and that too in one week. The script of a movie named “Monsoon Wedding” was written by Sabrina with the fusion of three different languages like Punjabi, English, and Hindi. The movie was nominated for many awards which also includes Golden Globe Award. In the year 2006, Sabrina Dhawan got married to Steve Cohen who was also a screenwriter. Her husband named “Steve Cohen” has written the screenplay of the movie named “The Bachelor” which was released in the year 1999 with Renee Zellweger and Chris O’Donnell in the lead roles. On 29th of September in the year 2012, her husband died. They have a son named “Kabir Cohen.” Currently, Sabrina lives with her son “Kabir.” Sabrina has also won many awards in her career including Golden Lion Award, Best Short Film Award, and much more.
