Plot

Star Performances
Sacha Baron Cohen did a marvelous job. He looked realistic in a dictator’s character. His comic timing is hilarious as always. Ben Kingsley is awesome as always. Anna Faris does an alright work as a shop owner, and her character adds the new thrust in the story. It is a treat to watch John C. Reilly.
Analysis
The plot of the film is strong, and hats off to the thought of writing a satire on this topic. Director Larry Charles starts well with the film but after the first half, he loses his way. He fails to create magic like his previous flick Bruno and Barot.
What’s there?
1. Powerful performances of all actors.
2. Great cinematography was done by Lawrence Sher.
3. Enjoyable comedy in the flick with some of satirical punchline.
What’s not there?
1. Poor screenplay, many scenes was unrelated.
2. The second half of the film feels lengthy.
Verdict
If you want to laugh out loud, then go for the film. It can be enjoyable once. But don’t go with your brain because you will not get any logic.
