Plot: Nobbie and Sebastian are brothers who were separated twenty-eight years ago. While Nobbie has set up a family with Dawn and his eleven children, Sebastian has become one of the top agents of MI6. In an interrogation, he gets to know that Rhonda George is going to be assassinated in an event. He gets an order to stop this assassination. Nobbie also gets the news that his brother will be in town, and he also goes to meet him. Sebastian succeeds in his mission. However, he is shot and Nobbie takes him to his home. After days of missing, MI6 announces Sebastian as a traitor and sends their men to assassinate him. The movie progresses on the same pitch taking various twists and turns.
Analysis: The movie is one of the biggest hits this year and is loved by the audience of all ages. It was released in US by the name of 'The Brothers Grimsby' and was a hit in the country. It story is unique and fresh. The action sequences, as well as the chasing sequences, are the soul of the movie, but without the comedy, the movie can nit be completed. The comic sequences are too funny, and you will ache your stomach while watching them. The narration is regular, but the unique story copes for it. The climax is predictable and you can not expect much from it to offer you. The music is average, considering the generic crew of the film. The action sequences is another gem in the movie which will spellbind you with its magic.
Star performances: Sacha Baron Cohen and Peter Baynham is in the lead characters in the movie. Their performances are quite average and does not meet the demands of the script. Louis Leterrier also disappoints with his work and has done just enough to cross the line. We had expected more from him. Oliver Wood has captured some great visuals as a cinematographer, especially the Elephant intercourse section. It was too hilarious to handle. James Thomas has trimmed the movie to merely 83 minutes to reduce the chances of slowing down the screenplay.
What's there? The film has a great story and plot. The audience will enjoy the bro-chemistry between the brothers. It also has some emotional scenes which will create an impact on the audience. The action and comic sequences are another gems added to the movie.
What's not there? The movie lacks proper narration to meet the demands of the script. Also, the direction is average and has not been up to the mark. The music a let down in the film and will not leave traces on the viewer's mind.
Verdict: The movie on a whole is entertaining and hilarious. Though it has some flaws, it can be watched once.
