Plot

The plot of the movie revolves around Brian Wilson Brian Wilson is an American singer, producer, comp >> Read More... . It travels between two periods the 1960s and 1980s. In the 1960s, Brian had a panic attack while traveling with the plane. After recovering from that, Brian urged to leave The Beach Boy band. He asked his brother and father to let him quit as he wanted to focus on studio work. Despite his father’s disapproval he completes a solo album named Pet Sounds. The album’s sales got overwhelming.

Wilson started using LSD through a group of hippies. His mental health got worse. He created a single album, Good Vibrations. It was a hit but he was unable to complete another album called Smile which was potentially his masterpiece. His bandmates work on this. However, Brian’s father sold publication copyrights without his consent. In year 1980, he met a women named Melinda. They fell in love. However, when Melinda realises that Brian’s therapist has more control over Brian than himself. She left the relationship. Landy, his legal advisor, was made the beneficiary of Brian’s will. One day he accidently met his ex girlfriend. After everything they got married at last.

Star performance

The filmmakers used many actors to make this film a successful show. The main character of the film is Brian Wilson. Paul Dano played Brian’s role showing the time period when Paul struggled from mental illness. John Cusack played Brian’s role when he was middle-aged. Both the actors did impressive work. The actors showed the characters neatly through their acting. Melinda is another important character in the film. She is the second wife of Brian. Elizabeth Banks played Melinda’s character. She delivered impressive performance throughout the movie. Elizabeth’s role was full of emotions, which she perfectly delivered. The supporting cast like Graham Rogers, Erin Darke, Bill Camp, Joanna Going delivered nuanced performances.
