Plot

The co-presidents of Promethium Pharmaceuticals are Richard Rusk and Elaine Markinson. They work in the Chicago offices. Their company employee, Harold Soyinka, had been kidnapped in Mexico. The kidnappers are demanding five million US dollars for his release. The native Harold did not know the crazy plan of his superiors. A day before his kidnapping, Harold, Richard, and Elaine went to Mexico, where they saw the head of Promethium’s Mexico plant, Sanchez. Harold was not told that Sanchez was going to sell Promethium’s newest product, which is medical marijuana, in the shape of a pill, in the market of a Mexican cartel. What will Harold Soyinka do? Will he be able to save himself from this crazy plan? What will Richard Rusk and Elaine Markinson go to do? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

David Oyelowo, as Harold “Harry” Soyinka, did an incredible performance in the film. His journey to escape from the kidnapping and the crazy plan was brilliant. His detailing of the character was outstanding. His dialogue delivery by him was perfect in the film. Joel Edgerton as Richard Rusk did a fantastic performance in the movie. He shows the nature of a cunning businessman. His acting was factual and natural. Charlize Theron, as Elaine Markinson, was perfect in her role. One would know the cunning nature of her as an antagonist after watching this movie. She that much impact she made in the whole film. Her appearance as the business was scary, cunning, and manipulating. Thandiwe Newton, as Bonnie Soyinka, did a remarkable performance in the movie. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.

Analysis

The storyline of the film was great, funny, thrilling, and entertaining –the film focus on the central theme of the exploitation of employee. The film shows the crazy plan of two superiors who use their employee as a scapegoat. The dark rumor of the film is maintained from the start till the end. Those who do not understand the rumor in it will be uninterested in it. The storyline in the movie was good. The film was lengthy, making many unnecessary scenes. The thrilling journey of company employee Harold Soyinka is demonstrated in the movie. The direction and cinematography in the film was good. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellent in the film.
