Story

The story is about how a prime minister develops the courage to save its people from the darkest hour they have been going through.

Cast

The cast includes Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Stephen Dillane, Ronald Pickup, Ben Mendelsohn, and Lily James.

Plot

The movie is based on a true story when the British people have to go through a tough time because they feared of being captured or seized as there was a big fall down due to disaster in France. This was the time of World War II. This was the time when the Nazi forces were continuously increasing their forces. The Nazi was a German political party who gained power during the period 1920 and 1945 and walked on the path of Nazism. As the Nazi forces were becoming more and more, there was a fear of darkest hour among the British as the future of the British People was in the hand of their leader.

But the British Prime minister was also unable to face Hitler who has emerged as a strong leader in that period, and each and every other person in the society was scared of his ruling power. Joe Wright has presented the movie in a dramatic way where we finally get to see the intrepidity of Churchill’s and how his bravery helped his people to live in a better world where there was no fear. The story was basically about a newly assigned prime minister who has to face the Nazi party ruler in order to save its kingdom from his rule.
