Plot

Mickey Pearson is a biggie in London. He has been dealing with Marijuana and it is a profitable business for him. But, he wanted to sell his business at a reasonable price. When he had been looking forward to the best deal, he had to face a blackmailer, an editor and some business rivals, who are highly risky. Did he get a good deal? Watch the movie to know the rest.

Star Performance

Matthew McConaughey is excellent in his role. His dialogue delivery and majestic look suit the character well. Charlie Hunnam did his job excellently well. Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant did what is expected from them.

Analysis

It's a well-scripted movie with neat characterizations. The star selection is excellent and all of them fit perfectly in their respective roles. Dialogues are well written. The screenplay flows freely without any jerk in between. The comedy scenes are natural and they aren't purposely inserted. The production and technical values are perfect.

What's There?

  • Good script, screenplay and execution
  • The stars are very natural with their performances
  • The comedy had also worked out well

What's Not There?

  • Except for some minor flaws nothing serious

Verdict

The Gentleman is a mixture of action and comedy with some talented actors who delivered excellent performances. The movie is definitely worth watching.
