Vijay is one among the lead actors in the Tamil cine field. He has done a number of movies and has won the hearts of Tamil cine field. The movie Mersal is bracing up for release on Diwali. As a positive development, it has made his fans happy that the issue with the title was adjourned by the court. The movie Mersal is a directorial venture by Atlee and the movie has got U/A certificate from the censor. As a matter of fact, it is eight years since the movie starring Vijay has got such a certiciate. As a matter of fact, the movie Vettaikaran starring Vijay acquired the U/A certificate in 2009.
The following movies which Vijay did as Kaavalan, Sura, Nanban, Velayudham, Thalaivaa, Kaththti, cleare the censor certification with a U certificate. After about eleven movies, the movie Mersal has been given a UA certificate. But still, it would not bother the movie in a big manner as the state government has withdrawn the discount with respect to tax since the introduction to taxon GST.
