Toll Gates Charge The People Even After The Contract Period Is Over!

Toll Gates have become one of the biggest threats for the travelers. It is heard that even after the contract period is over, the toll gates are charging the people. The contract period of 26 Toll gates in India have expired, but still, they collect charges. To stop this, the Lorry Owners decided to protest. From March 30th to 2nd April, the Lorries in Tamilnadu will not be operated, announced the Lorry Owners Association’s southern branch. Yesterday, the General Body Meeting was held and the President of the Association, Kumarasamy led the meeting. They condemned the toll gates for charging and decided to do a 4-day protest. So from 30th April, nearly 4 lakh Lorries will not be operated. If the Lorries didn’t operate, the TN government would have to suffer a loss of Rs. 200 Crore per day. Will the state and central governments get back the toll gate charges?
