Sathyaraj To Play PM Narendra Modi In Biopic?

Famous actor Sathyaraj is going to play, of all people, PM Narendra Modi on screen!

According to recent reports, Sathyaraj will be essaying the role of PM Narendra Modi. Not much is known about the film, except that it will be based on a major event.

If the reports turn out to be true, this will be the fourth major movie where PM Narendra Modi has a significant role, and probably the first Tamil movie on this subject. Before that, actors like Rajit Kapur and Arun Govil made honest efforts to play PM Modi in the two major blockbusters ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’ and ‘Article 370’.

Even actors like Ashish Sharma, Mahesh Thakur, and Vikram Gokhale did justice to the role in web series like ‘Modi: The Journey of a Common Man’ and ‘Avrodh’. The only exception was Vivek Oberoi, whose efforts to play PM Modi in ‘PM Narendra Modi’ backfired, and the movie was a complete washout.

Meanwhile, Sathyaraj is working on multiple projects, amongst which the most awaited one is ‘Coolie’, which will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Not much is known about Sathyaraj’s role, except that he will be working with Rajinikanth after more than 3 decades.
