There were rumors that Sathyaraj would be playing the role of PM Narendra Modi.
Now Sathyaraj has himself clarified that forget his acceptance, he was not even approached for a movie on PM Narendra Modi.
According to an interview, he was himself surprised by this news. Even if he was approached for such a movie, he would never have taken it up, since it is against his ideology.
This doesn’t come as a surprise, since Sathyaraj has been well known for his affinity towards EV Periyar, and he had also played his role in a biopic made way back in 2007. Sathyaraj is already super busy on the work front, with one of his priorities being ‘Coolie’, which stars Rajinikanth in the lead role, and is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
This would be the first time Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj would be working together on a project in more than three decades. Apart from Coolie, Sathyaraj is also awaiting the release in ‘Weapon’.
