It is to be noted that in its opening weekend box office collection in Chennai city the movie has crossed Rs 1.87 crores and the total opening day collection in Tamilnadu is Rs 2.1 crores. 96 is one among the third highest box office collection for Vijay Sethupathi movies in the overseas, following Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Vikram Vedha. 96 has grossed to $25k in the US.
