Since iSmart Shankar, Puri Jagannadh has failed to deliver a single commercial success, with his last flick Double iSmart turning out to be a commercial washout, earning merely 18 crores worldwide over a budget of 90 crores.

On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi is on a roll. Apart from striking a chord with his Hindi debut both theatrically and on OTT, the actor has been one of the saviors for an otherwise struggling Kollywood, with movies like Maharaja and the Viduthalai franchise impressing both the critics and the audience.
